Random Decimal Generator
Generate random decimal numbers within a configurable range with adjustable decimal precision and batch generation.
What is Random Decimal Generator?
Generate random decimal values within a configurable range. Set the minimum and maximum, choose the number of decimal places, and generate up to 100 values at once. The minimum is included in the range, while the maximum is excluded.
How to use
- Enter the minimum value.
- Enter a maximum value greater than the minimum.
- Choose the number of decimal places, from 0 to 15.
- Choose how many values to generate, from 1 to 100.
- Click Generate to create the random decimal values.
- Copy the generated result if needed.

FAQ
Can I choose the decimal precision?
Yes. You can specify from 0 to 15 decimal places. The output is formatted to the selected number of places.
Can I set a custom range?
Yes. You can define the minimum and maximum values, but the minimum must be strictly less than the maximum.
Can I generate multiple decimal values?
Yes. You can generate from 1 to 100 random decimal values in a single operation.
Can the generator produce negative decimal numbers?
Yes. You can enter negative minimum or maximum values as long as the minimum is less than the maximum.
Is the generator cryptographically secure?
The generator uses crypto.getRandomValues() from the Web Crypto API to obtain random values. However, its decimal scaling and rounding behavior should be considered before using the output in security-sensitive protocols. For passwords and tokens, prefer a dedicated cryptographic token generator.
Is the maximum value included?
No. The generated value is less than the configured maximum because the random fraction is always below 1. The minimum can be returned.
