• Sentences are detected using `.`, `!`, `?` and their common CJK equivalents.
• Closing quotes and brackets after sentence punctuation are included in the same sentence.
• Decimal numbers such as `3.14` are not split into separate sentences.
• Common abbreviations such as `Dr.`, `Mr.`, `e.g.` and `i.e.` are not treated as sentence boundaries.
• Ellipses such as `...` are handled as a single punctuation sequence.
• Unfinished text without ending punctuation is still counted as a sentence.
• Word counting supports Unicode letters and numbers, including apostrophes and hyphenated words.
