FAQ

How are phone numbers generated?

The generator creates random digit sequences and checks them using libphonenumber-js numbering metadata. It retries when a candidate fails validation.

Are generated phone numbers guaranteed to be fictional?

No. Passing numbering-plan validation does not prove that a number is unassigned or fictional. Do not assume generated numbers are safe to call or message.

Which countries are supported?

The country selector is populated from the countries supported by the installed libphonenumber-js library and its metadata.

Which output formats are available?

International includes the country calling code and international formatting, E.164 produces a compact international representation beginning with +, and National uses the country's national formatting conventions.

How many phone numbers can I generate at once?

You can request between 1 and 100 numbers in a single batch. Generation may fail for some country selections if suitable candidates cannot be found within the retry limit.

Does the generator verify that a phone number is active?

No. It does not check whether a number is assigned to a subscriber, reachable, or able to receive calls or SMS messages.

Can I use these numbers to test phone number validation?

They can help test formatting and basic validation flows. For reliable tests, use explicitly reserved test numbers or test fixtures provided by your phone verification service.
