ULID Generator
Generate Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifiers with embedded timestamps and random components.
What is ULID Generator?
Generate ULIDs that combine a timestamp component with a random component to create identifiers that are lexicographically sortable by creation time. Generate one or multiple ULIDs and copy them for use in applications and databases.
How to use
- Choose the number of ULIDs to generate.
- Generate the identifiers.
- Review the timestamp and random components.
- Check the generated ULIDs.
- Copy individual identifiers or the complete list.

FAQ
What is a ULID?
ULID stands for Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifier. It combines a timestamp component with random data in a fixed-length string.
Why are ULIDs sortable?
The timestamp is stored at the beginning of the identifier, so ULIDs generated at different times can be ordered lexicographically by their timestamp component.
Can I generate multiple ULIDs at once?
Yes. The generator supports batch generation of multiple ULIDs.
Can a ULID contain the exact creation time?
The timestamp component represents the generation time with millisecond precision. It does not contain every detail about when or where the identifier was created.
Are ULIDs guaranteed to be unique?
No identifier can provide an absolute guarantee of uniqueness. ULIDs use a large random component to make collisions extremely unlikely when generated correctly.
Are ULIDs better than UUIDs?
Neither is universally better. ULIDs are useful when lexicographic time ordering is valuable, while UUIDs are a widely supported general-purpose identifier standard.
